Kuwait became the first Arab country to place a large order for speed and red light enforcement cameras. ROBOT's offered products, standards and services convinced the General Traffic Directorate (GTD). They decided in favor of ROBOT because of it being "a company that has proved its world leadership in supplying its products even to the most developed countries". The offered technology had also already been tested in the harsh and hostile environment of the Arab Gulf where it was previously installed in Oman and the United Arab Emirates. With more than 50 lives saved and 800'000 processed offences in its first year, this pioneering venture has set a significant and successful example of a partnership between the private and the public sector contributing towards the same goal to make our roads safer.
